Barbie Bungee jumping in 8th grade math
Barbie bungee jumping in 8th grade math yesterday! 8th grade students have been studying linear equations, graphing, scatter plots, and line of best fit in math. To put what they are learning to use, the students were given rubber bands and a barbie doll, and collected, recorded, and graphed data. They were then asked to predict (based on their line of best fit) how many rubber bands were needed for Barbie to safely jump from 9 ft. The successful jump used 18 rubber bands. Good thinking 8th grade!
