A delicious way to learn about history!
Cupcake wars has nothing on St. Justin School social studies! Today 6th graders used cakes, icing, rice krispie treats, and candy to create maps of Egypt. As part of their social studies curriculum students analyze the geographic, political, economic, religious, and social structures of the early civilizations of Mesopotamia, Egypt, and Kush. We don’t think the standards include eating their lesson afterwards, but teacher, Mrs. Kelly, has found a delicious way to learn about history!
