Advent = Giving

Advent is a time of giving. It is in this spirit that St. Justin School hosts its annual Advent Novena, a nine day journey of prayer and reflection. Throughout the nine days, each class (K – 8) has an opportunity to lead a prayer service. Students are asked to donate items such as socks, toiletries, jackets, blankets, books, and games, which are in turn, distributed to families in need through our very own Community Ministry. We Give Thanks!

Before school is dismissed for the Thanksgiving holiday, the St. Justin community gathers together to celebrate its annual Thanksgiving Prayer Service.  It’s a time for the students to share what they are thankful for through song, poetry, prose, and prayer.  It’s a wonderful way to reflect on the wonderful blessings we all have in our lives!

Every trimester, the St. Justin School community gathers together at a special morning assembly to present two students from each grade with an ABC Award. Recipients of this award are nominated by their teacher and are chosen for their positive Attitude, their responsible and respectful Behavior, and the wise Choices they make every day. Fifth Grade Bible Ceremony

Fifth Grade Bible Ceremony

At Mass this morning we celebrated our 5th grade bible ceremony. Our pastor, Fr. Chris Bransfield, blessed the 5th graders and their new bibles. The students will keep these bibles at school each year through middle school to use in religion class. Fr. Chris challenged the students to open their bibles often to read the word of God and put those words into action. This special ceremony is a tradition the 5th graders look forward to every year....
